If you ever feel bored of your regular coffee shop that you've been to many times, maybe it's time to make a change.



The latest cafe in town, KLTR Coffee Roaster has emerged, joining thousands of coffee shops in Jakarta. But here's a special twist. Their coffee shop addressed to the widest and humblest customers in the middle of the bustling Jakarta CBD. Located at the ground floor of Apartment Pavillion Retail Arcade (next to Sudirman Citywalk to ease you), KLTR coffee has me stunned for their delicious meals and drinks!







The first time walking into the shop on a fine Saturday morning, I found the place very edgy and masculine. Though it does not settle as a smokey sports bar, the whole representation of the cafe is actually very homey and unique. Blended with a tone of earthy color palette, unique interiors and comfy singles sofas, KLTR Coffee actually can become your new favorite hang out spot.

Weekdays are mostly filled with workers from next door's office buildings and casual entrepreneurs enjoying their meals and coffee, while weekends are often filled with families and groups of friends.


It didn't need to be too late of an afternoon to find many customers already inside enjoying every drip of coffee and meals when I was there. I came by in the morning around 9:30 am and the place was already welcoming. Waiters are very friendly and helpful, and they didn't forget to ask if we were comfortable or whether we love our orders. Hospitable? Check!



Let's move on to the wonderful food journey that we tried and the story of every bite that was so memorable in KLTR Coffee Roaster. We ordered a couple of aesthetically good looking foods, accompanied by coffee and ice chocolate.

Beef Yakimeshi, Avocado Toast, Bulgogi Sandwich, and Full Breakfast were a few of our choices. They definitely did justice of all taste and presentation. Beef Yakimeshi with its stunning herb rice and crumbling tasty beef drenched within a yolky poached egg is one of my favorite! If you're into breakfast and brunch foods, never forget that Avocado Toast or opt the Full Breakfast. Generous amount of avocado stirred in their special oil blend on a crispy brioche toast is amazing! While Full Breakfast serves a wonderful collection of your general eggs, bacon and mushroom, but this is so much more. The unique thing about the egg was that it was cooked omelette and foamy, I've never seen anything like it! Much talent, Chef! The Bulgogi Sandwich is also a win win. The generous portion of spiced beef and kimchi sandwiched in bread is definitely very tasteful and offers a wonderful fusion of that Korean palate.

We closed the meal with a little dessert called Honey Miss You Gato. The pouring of affogato coffee in a blend of  honey nougat ice cream makes a bittersweet, creamy new taste that's very refreshing!

Overall, KLTR Coffee can be a wonderful addition to your weekly caffeine fix and the hottest new chill place for you and your friends to hang out. Don't forget to come by at different meal times, as they change their menus at every breakfast, lunch and dinner for you to enjoy their variation of dishes!
